Why would I pay Pirk when clinics and surgery groups will help me for free?
Because free help in this industry is funded by surgery happening — coordinators work for providers, and packages have the provider's margin built in. We're paid a flat fee by you, so we have no stake in where you book, or whether you book at all. You're not paying for information. You're paying for independence, structure, and a person who does the work with you.
Will Medicare or my health fund cover breast reduction?
Sometimes, partly — when it's assessed as medically necessary, a Medicare item number and private cover can reduce your out-of-pocket cost, and for some women the public pathway is worth exploring first. We can't assess eligibility — that's for your GP and surgeon — but we'll help you understand the pathways, the questions to ask, and the real out-of-pocket ranges, so nothing surprises you.
Does Pirk recommend a surgeon or tell me who's best?
No. We research and compare options against your criteria and lay them out clearly — but we don't rank surgeons, pick winners, or tell you what to decide. The choice is always yours, and anything medical — including whether surgery is right for you — is a conversation for you, your GP and your surgeon.
Is Pirk a medical service?
No. Pirk is a research, comparison and coordination service. We don't provide medical advice, assess whether you're suitable for surgery, or guarantee any outcome. Every practitioner we research is registered with AHPRA, and you can verify anyone on the public register yourself.
Which level of support should I choose?
If you want the research done and you're confident handling consultations yourself, The Shortlist ($149) covers it — and it's credited in full if you upgrade within 60 days. If you want a concierge through the consultation and decision stage, choose Guided ($549). If you want us with you through surgery and recovery too, choose Full Support ($899). If you're not sure, book the free call and we'll tell you honestly — including if the answer is “start small.”
What's your refund policy?

You can also change your mind within 48 hours of purchase, before we've begun your research, for a full refund. Once research has begun, fees aren't otherwise refundable, because most of our work happens up front. How long does it take?
That's set with you, not for you. On your discovery call, your concierge agrees a timeline that fits your situation — some clients want their shortlist quickly, others are planning around an event months away. Is my information private?
Yes. Your details are handled under our privacy policy, we don't sell your information, and we'll never contact a surgeon about you without your go-ahead.
