Your breast surgery questions, answered.
Breast surgery covers five quite different operations. Which one you're looking at changes the cost, the hospital stay and the recovery, so it's the first thing to get clear.

What it costs, and how people pay.

- Plans from
- $2,000 to $70,000

- 24 to 84 months
- Checking eligibility
- No effect on your credit score
- Credit provider
- TLC, not Pirk
A quote should spell out
- Surgeon's fee
- Anaesthetist
- Hospital or day surgery fees
- Implants and garments, where relevant
- Follow-up appointments
- Revision policy, in writing
Consultations are usually $200 to $450 each, paid per consultation. Indicative.
Why quotes vary
The spread comes down to the surgeon, the facility and what the quote includes. We lay each one out so you can see what you're paying for.
Medicare and private health
Some breast surgery is partly covered by Medicare where it's medically necessary. We'll explain how it works and what to ask your GP and surgeon. They assess eligibility, not us.
*Repayment figures are indicative only and based on example interest rates. Actual repayments depend on your individual assessment, loan amount and term. A full credit and financial assessment must be completed before any offer. TLC is the credit provider, not Pirk.
Sound familiar?
Doing this on your own is harder than it should be.

Hours of research, and still not sure.
- 01
Fifty tabs open, and every clinic says the same reassuring thing.

Everyone has an opinion. None of them are neutral.
You're not doing it wrong. It's built this way, and you shouldn't have to do it alone.

Why I built Pirk
Hi, I'm Chloe.
I started Pirk after going through this myself. I run a business, and I still found it hard. Quotes I couldn't compare, marketing dressed up as advice, and nobody who was actually on my side. So I built the thing I wish I'd had.
- Surgeons never pay us to be included.
- We will never tell you what to decide. That's yours.
- Deciding not to have surgery is a perfectly good outcome.

How much does breast surgery cost in Australia?
It depends on the procedure. As an indicative guide: breast augmentation $9,000 to $18,000, mastopexy (breast lift) $12,000 to $20,000, reduction mammoplasty (breast reduction) $12,000 to $22,000, revision or implant replacement $12,000 to $28,000. Quotes vary with the surgeon, the facility and what's included, so always ask for an itemised breakdown.
Can I pay for surgery with a payment plan?
Yes. Payment plans are available through TLC from $2,000 to $70,000, over 24 to 84 months, and checking your eligibility doesn't affect your credit score. TLC is the credit provider, not Pirk, and a full credit and financial assessment applies before any offer.
How long does it all take?
Telling us where you're up to takes about 2 minutes, and the first call is 15 minutes. After that the timeline is set with you. Some people want their comparison quickly, others are planning months ahead. You'll always know what happens next.
What does Pirk cost?
Clients pay us directly, from $149 to $899 depending on how much support you want. Surgeons never pay us. On your call we'll tell you honestly which level fits, or if you don't need us yet.
What happens on the call?
It's 15 minutes with a Pirk concierge. We listen to where you're up to, answer your questions and explain how we can help. There's no obligation, and deciding not to go ahead is a fine outcome.
What if I don't know which procedure I'm looking at?
That's normal, and it's a good reason to talk first. We can talk you through how augmentation, lift, reduction and revision differ. Which one is suitable for you is a decision for you and your surgeon.
Will Pirk tell me which surgeon to choose?
No. We research your options against what matters to you and lay them out clearly. We don't rank surgeons or tell you what to decide. The choice is always yours, and anything medical is a conversation for you, your GP and your surgeon.
Is Pirk a medical service?
No. Pirk is a research, comparison and support service. We don't give medical advice or assess whether surgery is suitable for you. Every practitioner we research is registered with AHPRA, and you can check anyone on the public register yourself.
Is my information private?
Yes. Your details are handled under our privacy policy, we never sell your information, and we will never contact a surgeon about you without your go ahead.
Ready when you are
Start wherever you are.
You don't need to have it all worked out. Tell us where you're up to and what's on your mind.
Free. No obligation. We never share your details with clinics.
